Pampanga Goes All Out for Bong Go
PAMPANGA, February 15, 2019 – Alongside Kapampangan supporters and allies, former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) and aspiring senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go began a comprehensive sortie of the vote-rich province of Pampanga to wide acclaim.
On Friday, the former SAP and his supporters visited Pampanga to interact with locals and show what Go can do for them and their province if elected senator after May 2019.
Bong Go visited the towns of Porac, Floridablanca, Lubao, Sasmuan, Guagua, and Sta. Rita in Pampanga. He was warmly welcomed in the province by provincial government officials, local leaders, esteemed guests, and residents of the area.
Noting that his long-time boss Rodrigo Roa Duterte won a major victory in the province when Duterte ran for the presidency in 2016, Go was deeply honored by the enthusiasm and support of numerous attendees in caucuses held in different Kapampangan towns.
Bong Go, knowing that Pampanga was vital to Duterte's 2016 presidential victory, assured audiences that he fully supports President Duterte and that he will continue Duterte's programs as well as changes brought to the country.
Bong Go then moved on to discuss the programs that he plans to legislate; foremost among them is the Malasakit Center program.
A program of the Duterte administration, the Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop wherein DOH, DSWD, PCSO, PhilHealth, and other government satellite offices are housed in one area to ease the process for patients in need of fast medical and financial assistance.
Go, who helped start the Malasakit Center program while working as the top aide of President Duterte, intends to put the program into legislation so that every provincial and urban area can have its own center to cater to the medical and financial needs of patients.
Aside from the Malasakit Center, Bong Go has a legislative agenda which covers issues regarding agriculture, housing, improved health service delivery, education, long-term sports development, localized peace talks, anti-drug and crime drive, anti-corruption drive, barangay welfare, creation of a Department of OFWs, as well as senior citizen concerns.
Bong Go ended his successful visit to Pampanga, in the company of friends, supporters, and political allies with these words:
