Relieved Caloocan Cops Completed Disciplinary Training
972 Pass, 104 others Failed
After two months of rigid disciplinary training at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City, the 1,076 former Caloocan cops have completed the Focused Reformation/Reorientation and Moral Enhancement for Police Officer in line with Internal Cleansing Efforts (FORM-POLICE). However, only 972 passed the training while 104 others failed.
Those who passed will go through a panel interview and vetting process with a committee composed by the NCRPO officer headed by the DRDA before they can be reassigned back to Caloocan CPS while 29 of those who failed and got an average grade of 70% to 74% will be assigned outside the National Capital Region; 41 who got an average grade of 51%-69% will undergo another retraining; and the 32 others with an average grade of 50% below and 2 who went on AWOL were remarked as unfit to continue the police service.
The training was facilitated, monitored and rated by the Human Resource and Doctrine Development, PNP assisted by the Special Action Force in consonance with the PNP’s Internal Cleansing Program.
Last October 2, 2017 National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director, PDIR Oscar D Albayalde relieved these Caloocan policemen and imposed on them disciplinary sanction due to violations of operational procedures.
Albayalde is confident that former Caloocan cops have learned their lessons and renewed their commitment to the Philippine National Police and to the public. He also assured that the NCRPO continue the intensified Internal Cleansing Program in support to the advocacy of Chief PNP, PDG Ronald M Dela Rosa. "This is maybe the first of many but we will not stop and we will not get tired helping our organization to have better and disciplined policemen. We will impose sanctions when necessary and will equally reward good performing cops," Albayalde concluded. ###
