That’s what comes after Build Build Build.
I hope you don't mind tongue and cheek. I hope you don't mind a little bit of humour. Daily Duterte is a group of volunteers that is happy about the progress, angry about the destabilisers, and just like you, would love to make fun of people who keep on spewing stupidity. The Stupid of the Day award goes to whoever said that President Duterte is making hidden profits out of the ferry services from Davao City to Samal Island. He says that's the reason why the bridge that's been begging to be built over there never gets done. Well, his beloved president just pointed out that the Samal Bridge - along with the Mindanao Railway - is on the top of the priority list of Mindanao Projects. A piece of news that is as good as duct tapes to the mouths of the ill speakers. Look, they’re not talking about it. They’re as salty as Davao Gulf. Now that's out off of my chest. Or my butt. It's was too smelly, it must come out somewhere else. it's really easy for me to move on from negative vibes. To me, there are loads of things to get excited about. I really would rather focus on those. I'm talking about "results". Gymrats would call it "gains", and Duterte's political muscles has been flexing hard lately. I'm not yet talking about the incremental wins of Philippine Peso against dollars. While that's good, i think the rice industry being self sufficient is a sweeter music to play right now. Though we're not closing our doors to foreign exporters yet. It's just that PRD and Manny Piñol think that there's enough local production during this peak season that we can at least "pause" the influx of rice imports. No champagne yet, but it's a SUPER good start. Only rice smugglers would think otherwise. This is where the champagne comes in - In the MMDA office. Specifically, the Crisis Monitoring and Management Center. Oh boy, i love the design of the walls. Filled with monitors ready to sound the alarm for crimes, accidents, and mass violence. This reminds me of the hi tech monitoring thingy in Davao City. There's a video of PRD roaming the place just before he became president. I remember wishing for the same kind of monitoring system for Manila. Hence, I think I voted for the right man. A man with big political muscles. Samal Bridge, rice sufficiency, and MMDA's monitoring system. I unabashedly taint my picks with recency bias, but these are the stories that excite me most. I collect new stories every 3 to 4 days, or every time the mood is right. Stay tuned if you enjoy reading about results. I love writing about them.
